OUR Principal

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Dubai International Academy Al Barsha. Opened in 2018, we are an IB continuum school in Dubai and a leading education provider in the region, offering all four IB programmes, PYP, MYP, DP and CP, from Pre-KG to Grade 12.

Our students benefit from a safe, nurturing environment where they are challenged to reach their potential and step out of their comfort zone, preparing them for the rigours of life ahead. Our core values permeate everyday life and lead many to describe us as “a happy school”. These embedded values allow students to become role models to each other and positive, well-grounded citizens who develop as future leaders capable of positively impacting our world.

We are a truly international school, offering all four IB programmes, PYP, MYP, DP and CP for children aged 3 to 18, representing over 90 different nationalities. The IB offers a variety of pathways for students, all preparing students for University and beyond. Our pathways provide for all students, from a comprehensive academic offering to a tailored approach or a hybrid academic-vocational learning approach.

We believe in a broad, balanced education where academic achievement, skills development and character building are built into learning experiences inside and outside the classroom, ensuring our students and alumni have a positive impact on the world.

Our campus & Facilities

Set on a vast 23-acre campus, DIA Barsha provides an oasis for learning in the heart of Dubai. Specialist learning labs, state-of-the-art technology, a 400-seat auditorium and sporting facilities including 3 swimming pools, a running track and full-sized astroturf playing field, and two indoor sports halls ensure students have a wealth of opportunities to excel in academics, performance and sport. Our bee hives, greenhouse and solar panels provide the perfect environment for sustainability and applied learning.
